Thankfully, after a long, hard struggle, we managed to get our planning application passed at Littleport. The modern planning process is extremely difficult to work through and this application was a tough one. As a family business we are well in tune with local peoples needs and that is why we persevered with the application after it was refused in 2007. Littleport needs, and indeed deserves, a modern filling station. Fenland communities rely heavily on cars and cars rely heavily on fuel! Littleport residents have been faced with numerous unnecessary journeys just to fill up their cars and this will stop that.
Whilst delighted with the outcome, we are also very mindful of our neighbours in Meadow Court. I will do my absolute utmost to work together with them over the coming months. It must be worrying not knowing what to expect but all of the sites that we operate have neighbours far closer and we pride ourselves on the relationship that we have with them. As long as our neighbours are happy to work with me, then I am totally committed to work with them and very much look forward to doing so.
