Community lunchI have been regularly attending the Soham Comunity Lunch for a while now and decided that it would be wonderful to share that idea with the people of Dersingham.  Therefore, last Thursday we held an absolutely excellent meeting in the Feathers Pub with 44 attendees from numerous Groups, Organisations and Charities.  It was a great networking opportunity for all involved and had many, many positive outcomes.  One group managed to organise a much needed meeting venue whilst another, struggling to get speakers to their monthly events, was able to book many more willing volunteers.

Living in small communities has massive benefits. A key one is the sense of working together and this was witnessed first hand at Dersingham last week. It was priceless watching like minded, caring people, network together for the benefit of others. It was also refreshing to see as, in these difficult times, people are still prepared to give up their time to help others.  It often only costs time but you cannot put a value on the benefit to all concerned.
