img_2063.JPGimg_2047.JPGimg_2060.JPGJames Graven bids a fond farewell today to one of its’ longest serving members of staff, Shift Manager Pam Smith.

Pam retires after a staggering 15 years of service to the company, a feat in itself in the retail industry of today.

Having been at Slade End since the beginning - when the company was under the leadership of Tim & Judy Graven and now, of course, Jonathan & Rebecca James (All pictured with Pam recieving her 15 years service award.), Pam has seen a lot of changes in her decade and a half as a member of the Graven Team, having spent her time at Slade End in Chatteris, the station itself turning from Esso to BP and more recently from Budgens to Spar.

Pam, known by former cashier and friend Roger Wichello, as the Sarge, has always been one of the more colourful characters of the team and will be sorely missed by all whom she has worked with.

On behalf of the team, this website wishes Pam all the best and a very happy retirement.
