5606bp119-mx18-gravens-2.jpgSanta paid a visit to our West Park Street Store on Saturday, to bring Christmas cheer to all the expectant children of Chatteris and they were not disappointed!  (Except for one child who tried to pull Santas beard off - with painful results to poor Santa!)  Santa was joined by his helpers from Chatteris 2nd Scout Group who were only too pleased to join in.

The purpose of the days festive fun was to raise money for ‘Help for Heroes’  West Parks chosen charity.  The main organiser of the event, Tash Jackson, said; “I am very happy with how things came together and the prizes we had donated for the raffle were fabulous!”

Prizes included free driving lessons, beauty therapies, a boxing lesson, free car-washes for a year and a £125 bottle of Aston Martin Promotional Champagne, among many other great prizes.

The fundraising for Help for Heroes began in October with a Halloween Bonanza and to date the store has raised over £2,000 which is a remarkable achievement.

We at James Graven would like to express a huge thank you to all who donated prizes to this cause, and also our friends at the Chatteris 2nd Scout Group, who came and did a sterling job for us - and talking of the Chatteris Scouts, you can see what else they are up to by visiting their website, a link will appear on our Community Pin board on this site, which will be up in a week, but until then you can visit them online at http://www.chatteris-scouts.org.uk/index.htm

We would also like to thank Santa for coming - we know how busy he is at this time of year!
