Jonathan James, has said many times that the customer journey begins in the car park, forecourt, or edge of the road, mainly as soon as the customer gets the first glimpse of the site and that the customer should see from this point that the store is a family owned, independent retailer.
Changes have happened in the shape of a refit in our Ely branch, and those changes certainly reflect this view.
With this in mind, our Gallery of Pictures below is a taste of what to expect in this fresh, new environment;
The James Graven Family Portrait, emblazoned on the side of our store on the way into the forecourt, was taken in around the 1890’s, what more could say ‘family’?

Across landscaped gardens, and fresh green scenes, the sign now say ‘James Graven’s Budgens of Ely’. Local and independent, you can guarantee no other store in the world will have a sign exactly the same!

Energy and ambiance! With doored chillers, saving energy, not to mention that you won’t be frozen out of the store, and energy saving lighting, the scene is set for a pleasurable shopping experience.

Wall to wall chillers ensure that we have a range of products that is filled with choice, value for money and easy to see, find and choose.
