Our Dersingham Store

Set in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, Budgens in Dersingham provides the local community with a viable alternative to the superstore.

Acquired by James Graven & Sons in 2007, the store is one of the latest to be divested by Budgens. The store has just undergone major refurbishment, providing shoppers with a new delicatessen, instore bakery, and an exciting hot food range. Committed to providing our customers with consistently high quality, fresh produce at affordable prices our offering focuses on local sourcing wherever possible. We aim to provide great service and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Each year a mobile breast screening unit visits the store and every month members of the local community can gain access to their neighbourhood policing team via Norfolk Constabulary’s mobile police unit which visits the stores car park between 1000 and 1400. Budgens in Dersingham is open 7 days a week, Monday to Friday 0700-2100, Saturday 0700-2000 and between 1000-1600 on Sunday. In the autumn and winter months the store closes slightly earlier on a Saturday at 2000. The store offers a broad range of fresh foods, including top quality fruit and vegetables, meat & poultry, dairy produce and fresh bread delivered daily from Heacham Bakery. You’ll also find groceries, frozen foods, lunchtime snacks, electrical goods, newspapers & magazines, CD’s and DVD’s, flowers and a selection of wines, beers and spirits, as well as useful services, including bag packing and carry to car, e-top up, National Lottery and recycling facilities. We work closely with a number of local suppliers including Tastes of Anglia, Heacham Bakery, Broadland Wines and Roger Holme foods.

Support for local schools

Passionate about supporting the communities in which we operate, we took the decision to support charities close to home. Any money raised, whether from collection tins or in-store fundraising goes directly to the benefit of our local communities. As such, our chosen charities for Soham are the two local primary schools, St Andrew’s and Weatheralls and for Dersingham, the Infant and Nursery school and St George’s Junior school. This year we aim to raise over £4,000 for these schools. Our Schools Voucher Scheme will run in both Dersingham and Soham from September 08.Find out more
